3 quality drones to learn to fly

Just like the smartphone market, it is now possible to buy a high-performance machine without having to spend thousands of euros. However, it is important to know that there are financial ceilings, especially if you want to make very high quality shots. Many Chinese manufacturers have also jumped into the breach by offering small models almost comparable to toys.

You can learn how to fly a drone!

And if the handling of consumer models has improved, it is advisable to start learning with small models that can be used indoors. Indeed, the presence of wind is not to be taken lightly and can destabilize the axis of your aircraft, or even worse, make it fall to the ground. This small selection is for those who would like to learn to fly without spending a fortune.

Here is our selection of 3 quality drones to learn how to fly without ruining oneself

The DJI Ryze Tello

3 quality drones to learn to flyResulting from a partnership between Ryze and DJI, the Tello has made a nice entry into the world of mini-UAVs and remains a very interesting proposition for novices. This 89-gram quadrirotor nevertheless integrates some interesting features for about a hundred euros (without remote control). It remains stable even at a height of several meters (provided there is no wind) and even allows to make small nice shots with its 5 Mpx sensor, which films in 720p.

The DJI flight controller offers a pleasant assistance, but we still recommend the purchase of a Gamesir T1d controller to drive it. We regret, however, that it is the image transcribed on the smartphone that is recorded. We would have preferred to have been able to insert a micro-SD directly inside. But at this price, it’s difficult to be a picky eater.

The DJI Spark

3 quality drones to learn to flyThe Spark is designed for those looking to enter the world of drones in a more serious way. It offers intuitive flight modes and remains stable even from a distance in dry weather. Transmission with the smartphone is limited to a distance of 100m (50m for the video link). Its FaceAware function allows you to control it thanks to the movements of your hands, which always makes its small effect. It can also follow you when you move or turn around a specific subject.

Its 1/2.3″ CMOS sensor of 12 Mpx allows you to shoot in FHD 1080p at 30 frames per second, which already allows you to use your shots and videos in good conditions. It will also be appropriate for those who seek velocity since it can carry out peaks up to 50 km/h! We just regret that the flight time is limited to a small quarter of an hour, forcing you to buy two batteries. The drone alone is currently available  on Amazon.

PARROT Anafi

3 quality drones to learn to flyWe’re moving up the range for this last drone, which is often cheaper than the excellent Mavic Air. But Parrot didn’t make fun of us. For $600 (sometimes less in special offers), the Frenchman offers a concentrate of technology that allows you to have fun in the air… But also during assembly! This lightweight, foldable quadrirotor UAV features a 4K HDR camera with excellent hybrid stabilization (and a welcome zoom). All of this is enough to deliver really impressive images.

It behaves very well in flight, even when there is a little wind. The video feedback is excellent, but it is not the case of the range (it is better not to exceed the kilometer distance) which is not optimal. We also regret the absence of the obstacle detection mode. On the other hand, its USB Type-C rechargeable battery allows you to enjoy yourself for more than 20 minutes (and more if you have a second battery) which represents one of the best autonomy today. And that’s the main thing.
